Purchase Protection

Last updated: June 5, 2026

What Is Purchase Protection?

3DPrintMe Purchase Protection is our buyer support framework for eligible orders. If a covered issue occurs, you may be eligible for a refund or other resolution based on evidence and policy windows.

How It Works

  • Payment is processed at checkout through our payment provider.
  • Seller payout eligibility depends on completion, dispute windows, and risk review.
  • Physical-order delivery confirmation windows and auto-completion timing are set in the Payment & Refund Policy and the Shipping Policy, and may be updated from time to time as platform operations and carrier mechanics change.
  • Physical-order issue and dispute windows are set in the Payment & Refund Policy and the Shipping Policy, including any expected-delivery fallback when delivered status is unavailable.
  • Commission and digital orders follow their own workflow-specific windows and terms.

What's Covered

  • Item not received (NEVER_ARRIVED) with supporting tracking evidence.
  • Materially not as described compared with listing scope (NOT_AS_DESCRIBED).
  • Damaged in transit with timely photo evidence (ARRIVED_DAMAGED).
  • Wrong item or significant fulfillment mismatch.
  • Qualified digital-download defects under digital-file rules.

What's Not Covered

  • Buyer preference change when seller policy does not allow return.
  • Normal, minor 3D-print variation in finish/tolerance/color tone.
  • Issues reported outside applicable policy windows.
  • Digital files once downloaded, except limited policy exceptions.

How to Open a Dispute

Open the order, select, and choose Open Dispute. Submit a clear timeline and evidence (for example tracking events, photos/video, and order messages).

Resolution Outcomes

Depending on evidence and policy rules, outcomes may include:

  • Full refund
  • Partial refund
  • Replacement / re-fulfillment
  • Seller payout hold or payout release
  • Listing or account enforcement for abuse or fraud

Fraud and Abuse

We may deny disputes that are fraudulent, abusive, untimely, or unsupported by evidence. Fraudulent submissions may lead to account restrictions.
