Payment & Refund Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Platform Role
3DPrintMe is a marketplace connecting independent third-party sellers and buyers. Graff Technologies LLC is not the manufacturer of listed items. This policy governs platform payment handling, refund workflows, and seller payout timing.
Accepted Payment Methods
3DPrintMe accepts major credit and debit cards and digital wallets made available through its payment provider, currently Stripe. Payment-method processing, identity verification of sellers, and collection of bank-account information are handled by Stripe under Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. 3DPrintMe does not collect or store raw bank-account or full government-ID information from sellers.
How Payments and Seller Payouts Work
Buyer payments are charged at checkout. Seller funds become payout-eligible only after order completion rules, dispute and refund windows, and risk-review requirements are satisfied. 3DPrintMe applies a default 3-day payout hold after delivery and a 14-day probation hold for new sellers, and assigns each seller a risk tier (NEW, TRUSTED, ESTABLISHED, or HIGH_RISK) that determines rolling holds, reserves, and freeze conditions. 3DPrintMe may apply, adjust, or release these holds and reserves at any time based on dispute history, fraud signals, chargeback exposure, or compliance review.
- Physical orders: delivery confirmation window is generally 72 hours after delivered status.
- Physical-order issue/dispute window is generally up to 14 days after delivered status (or expected-delivery fallback where delivered status is unavailable).
- Digital and commission workflows follow their respective completion and dispute windows. Buyers may open a dispute using one of the following reason codes: NOT_AS_DESCRIBED, ARRIVED_DAMAGED, ARRIVED_LATE, NEVER_ARRIVED, or OTHER. Sellers have 48 hours from notice to respond to a dispute before 3DPrintMe may resolve it under the default rules in the Seller Agreement.
- Additional payout holds may apply based on seller tier, dispute history, fraud signals, and compliance review. Once funds are available in Stripe, payout timing depends on Stripe and the seller's bank.
Pricing, Taxes, and Fees
- Prices are shown in USD unless otherwise noted.
- Sales tax is calculated, collected, and remitted by 3DPrintMe through Stripe Tax in jurisdictions where 3DPrintMe is required to act as a marketplace facilitator. Sellers should not separately collect tax on platform sales in those jurisdictions.
- Shipping and taxes may be shown separately unless explicitly included.
- Payment processor fees and platform fees may affect seller net payout.
Refund Eligibility (General)
You may be eligible for a full or partial refund in cases such as:
- Seller-approved cancellation before shipment/production cutoff.
- Confirmed non-delivery.
- Materially not-as-described item.
- Transit damage supported by evidence.
- Dispute resolved in buyer's favor.
Non-Refundable or Limited-Refund Situations
- Buyer preference change after production/shipment, unless seller policy allows return.
- Minor normal variation in 3D-printed output (finish, color tone, layer-line presence, tolerance).
- Untimely dispute submissions beyond the policy window.
- Custom commissions where delivered output matches accepted quote and approved revisions.
Digital Downloads
Digital files (STL/3MF and related model files) are generally non-refundable once the download begins, except for limited cases such as corrupt files, material mismatch, duplicate accidental purchase, or post-purchase rights-removal events. For buyers located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, the no-refund rule applies only because, by initiating the download, you expressly consent to immediate performance during the statutory 14-day withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal at that moment, as further described in the Digital License Terms.
See Digital Model License Terms and Terms of Use for license scope and restrictions.
Commission Orders
Commission orders follow quote-based scope and revision terms. Changes after quote acceptance require mutual agreement. Preference-based cancellations/returns are generally not available after production begins, but damaged/wrong/not-as-described commissions remain dispute-eligible.
Chargebacks
Buyers are asked to contact 3DPrintMe and use the platform dispute tools before filing a chargeback when possible and lawful. This does not waive a buyer's statutory or card-network rights. 3DPrintMe may contest unsupported chargebacks using order and delivery evidence. If a chargeback or refund is processed against an order, 3DPrintMe is authorized to debit, offset, recoup, or clawback the disputed amount, plus any associated fees, from the responsible seller's payout balance, future payouts, or held reserves, and to freeze the seller's payouts pending resolution. The Seller Agreement governs the seller-side mechanics of this recoupment.
Shipping Label Billing (Gray-Label)
In Shippo gray-label mode, label purchase and carrier charges are billed to the seller's connected Shippo account. Sellers are responsible for package weight/dimensions accuracy, carrier compliance, and carrier adjustment outcomes (including surcharges, address corrections, and label-refund eligibility).
Refund Timing
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Posting time depends on payment method, bank, and processor timelines, and is usually five to ten business days.
