Content Policy

3DPrintMe is a marketplace for 3D-printed goods, custom commissions, and digital design files. We support creative freedom while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all users. The following guidelines apply to every part of the platform — listings, images, reviews, messages, shop pages, and profile content.

1. Mature Content & Tagging Requirements

Some content is appropriate for adults but may not be suitable for all audiences. Listings containing such content must be tagged as “mature” so that users who prefer not to see it can browse without encountering it unexpectedly.

You must tag a listing as mature if it contains:

Artistic depictions of nudity (sculptures, figurines, illustrations, reliefs)
Suggestive or provocative themes, even without explicit nudity
Non-photographic sexual content that falls within our allowed guidelines
Content featuring adult humor, innuendo, or mature language
Items specifically designed for or marketed toward adult audiences

How mature tagging works:

When creating a listing, you can manually toggle the “mature content” switch
Our automated content analysis may also detect and auto-tag listings based on image review
If our system flags your images, the mature tag is applied automatically and cannot be removed by the seller
Mature listings do not appear on the home page or in default search/browse results
Users must explicitly opt in (via a filter checkbox) to view mature content
Visitors who navigate directly to a mature listing will see an age confirmation prompt before the content is displayed

Failure to tag mature content correctly may result in your listing being auto-tagged, temporarily suspended, or removed. Repeated violations may lead to account restrictions.

2. Allowed Content (With Mature Tag)

The following types of content are permitted on 3DPrintMe when properly tagged as mature:

Non-photographic artistic nudity — Sculptures, figurines, busts, reliefs, and printed artwork depicting the human form. This includes classical, fantasy, and stylized art where nudity serves an artistic or creative purpose.
Suggestive or provocative designs — Items with adult humor, innuendo, or themes intended for a mature audience, even if no nudity is present (e.g., gag gifts, novelty items, risqué art prints).
Non-explicit body art and anatomy — Educational anatomical models, medical reference prints, and body-positive artwork that depicts the human body without explicit sexual context.
Fantasy and character art — Miniatures, figurines, and display pieces featuring fantasy characters with revealing armor, clothing, or stylized proportions common in tabletop gaming and collectible art.

3. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on 3DPrintMe and will be removed immediately. Accounts that post prohibited content may be permanently suspended without warning.

Explicit sexual content

Photographs or photo-realistic depictions of sex acts, genitalia, or explicit arousal
Pornographic material of any kind, including vintage or republished adult media
Items marketed using pornographic terminology in titles, descriptions, or tags
Highly detailed digital art (including AI-generated) depicting explicit sexual acts

Dangerous or harmful items

Items designed to insert into or be worn on intimate body parts
Items that pose a risk of physical injury during intimate use (electrostimulation devices, asphyxiation accessories, blood-restriction tools)
Functional weapons or weapon components regulated by law
Drug paraphernalia or items designed to facilitate illegal substance use

Illegal or exploitative content

Any depiction of minors in nude, partially nude, or sexually suggestive contexts — zero tolerance
Content depicting illegal acts including non-consensual scenarios, bestiality, or necrophilia
Selling or advertising sexual services of any kind
Custom photographs, videos, or audio recordings of a sexual nature tied to a specific individual
Items that have been intimately used and are sold for fetish purposes

Hate, harassment, and harmful speech

Items promoting hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics
Content glorifying self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide
Sexual language or slogans referencing familial relationships

4. Listing Image Standards

All listing images are automatically reviewed by our content safety system when uploaded. Images that exceed our safety thresholds are rejected and cannot be used. Images that contain mild mature content are allowed but will trigger the mature content tag on the listing.

Image guidelines:

Cover image (first photo) — Must be appropriate for a general audience. If your item involves mature themes, use a neutral angle or context-appropriate crop for the cover image.
No human-modeled nudity in listing photos — If photographing a wearable or body-related item, use a mannequin, flat-lay photography, or ensure the model is fully clothed.
Non-realistic art is more permissive — Printed sculptures, figurines, and artistic pieces depicting the human form are generally allowed with the mature tag, provided they don't cross into explicit territory (see Prohibited Content above).
No real photographs of explicit anatomy — Even if partially obscured, photographs or photo-realistic renders of genitalia or explicit acts are not permitted.

Automated detection: Our system uses AI-powered image analysis to detect potentially mature or inappropriate content. When a mild flag is raised (e.g., artistic nudity), the listing is auto-tagged as mature. When a severe flag is raised, the image is rejected entirely. You can always manually tag your listing as mature during creation.

5. Enforcement & Appeals

We enforce these policies through a combination of automated content analysis, user reports, and manual review.

Automated tagging — Listings with images flagged by our content safety system are automatically tagged as mature. This tag cannot be removed by the seller.
Content removal — Listings that violate our prohibited content rules are removed without prior notice. The seller will receive a notification explaining the reason.
Account actions — Repeated or severe violations may result in listing restrictions, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.
Appeals — If you believe your content was incorrectly flagged or removed, you can contact our support team through the Help section to request a manual review.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates the spirit of these guidelines, even if it is not explicitly listed above. These policies may be updated periodically to reflect evolving standards and community needs.
